What are you waiting for? Â we won't be here forever.
We're not really the last bookstore - thank goodness - but we are the largest new and used bookstore in California. Plus, we're the only one that's 22,000 sq. feet with a record store, comic book store, 5 art studios, an epic yarn shop, a famous book tunnel, a mammoth head, and unexpected nooks of funkiness. Also we are in a hundred-year-old bank building, so we have vaults and ghosts.

Oh, and we also have tons of books.

Tons.
LAST AND LOST ZINE
A new zine exploring how the Last Bookstore and Lost Books came to be. It features stories on some of the local artists and community leaders who have contributed to our stores over the years, not to mention our wonderful staff!

We're releasing "Last and Lost" in a limited run, so once it sells out it's gone for good. Don't miss your chance to own a piece of DTLA and Last Bookstore history!

Sign up now for discounts on in-store purchases at any of our three locations, whether that's the original Last Bookstore in DTLA,
Lost Books in Montrose, or the newly opened Skull-Face in Honolulu, Hawaii. As we expand the program this year, we'll offer other perks like free merch and book bundles, early access shopping, and more.

THEÂ Annex
This very special room - just to the left as you enter - is gated because it has all the fancy stuff: from first editions, collectibles and the extremely rare to expensive art/architecture/photo books. There are also inexpensive, fun things and discounted coffee table books. If you really want to impress your friends, we can also hold private events or parties in here. Browse in-store or shop our Instagram for rare 1st editions and collectibles.
a fairy tale weddingÂ
Elope with close friends & family or dine and dance with up to 200 guests. 24-foot tall soaring ceilings, a world-famous book tunnel and endless rows of color create an opulent fairy tale setting for your wedding story. Exchange vows between towering floor to ceiling columns, in our rare books and collectibles Annex, or a turn of the century real-life antique bank vault.

COME VISIT US
Our open hours are 11 am - 8 pm every day. We're closed Thanksgiving & Christmas, but open all other major holidays, including Halloween and St. Patrick's Day. Plus, we're only 7 miles from the Hollywood sign. You could practically walk here.
DIRECTIONS

You can find us at the corner of 5th and Spring in downtown Los Angeles. We're a block from Pershing Square metro station. We don't have our own parking (we wish we did), so expect to pay about $10 in one of the nearby lots, though it's cheaper evenings and weekends. There are a ton of parking meters, but they fill up fast. And don't forget to read the signs carefully; they send the best meter maids.
